The engineering staff at Marand Engineering Ltd. has been in the business of designing and building custom pneumatic, fuel, hydraulic, and mechanical test equipment for over 10 years.

Designs range from pneumatic assembly and test fixtures to advanced high speed data acquisition and control systems. State of the art electronics featuring advanced software is integrated with precision measurement and control instrumentation to perform complex tasks and measurements.

Some of our work includes :

  • Automated test stands to test and calibrate aircraft turbine engine fuel controls, propeller over speed controls, fuel nozzles, hydraulic pumps, manifolds and other hydraulic and pneumatic systems and devices. 

  • Using Mil-C-7024, Mil-H-5606, Mil-L-7808, commercial hydraulic oils, pneumatic and nitrogen systems.

  • Automated precision flow rate measurement systems to measure and calibrate pressure compensated flow rates of .15 +/- .003 gpm.

Marand Engineering uses data acquisition and control based on Windows NT and Windows CE based PC controls, with multiple programmable logic control (PLC) systems. This provides multiple points of control and analysis within the test system, as well as supervisory and auditing functions.

These systems are compact and industrial hardened to produce robust, accurate control and data gathering systems.

Marand Engineering writes flexible software which anticipates future requirements (reducing expensive software redesign) and integrates the best of present PLC programming software, PC PLC control software, Visual Basic and Visual C++.
